5-6 women die every hour during child birth due to preventable causes - Do You Care?

Lahore, Pakistan
United Kingdom

Pakistan is  a country which is plagued by socio economic problems, and is home to an alarming number of underprivileged population. Among other agonizing issues in the country, unsafe child birth practices lead to a high mother and infant mortality rate.

In light of the deplorable health facilities accessible to the poor, a group of concerned citizens in Lahore, Pakistan, teamed up to form Medicare Trust. Medicare Trust is a tax exempted and registered organization, certified by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy. It is devoted to welfare services in the society, particularly the delivery of high quality healthcare among the poor. Medicare Trust Hospital, a landmark of the Trust, is a 50 bedded facility located in the run-down locality of Badami Bagh, Lahore, Pakistan and catering to a mostly underprivileged population of 300,000. Its focus is on safe and hygienic child birth practices in low income groups but the hospital also treats general ailments.

We earnestly appeal to you to help us in our cause, and donate to us so we can sustainably carry on with this noble cause!
