Working Towards A Skilled Pakistan
Hunar Foundation at present is operating five institutes in Pakistan, and over 1500 young men and women have graduated from them since 2010. With three more institutes to become operational in 2017, Hunar eventually plans to establish 30 purpose built “institutes of excellence” inclusive of 3-4 Teacher Training Centres by 2020.
AFFILIATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Our courses are certified by the Trade Testing Board (Sindh and Punjab, Pakistan) as well as by City & Guilds (UK) whose certification is recognised primarily in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia & New Zealand.
OUR KEY OBJECTIVE
Hunar Foundation’s key objective is to provide school graduates and other young adults with international standard vocational training that meets the expectations of the market, leading to employment or small business creation – and eventually economic freedom and empowerment. Hunar Foundation offers this opportunity to the underprivileged and marginalized segments of society where the need is more urgent.
Hunar offers the students a high quality learning environment of international standards. The workshops are well equipped and the courses designed to meet industry requirements. This ensures a high degree of employability for Hunar graduates.
In addition, the students are taught IT and English language communication. Importance is also given to work ethics and moral and social values.
Today Hunar Foundation has 5 campuses; four for males one for females (currently in process of relocation and refurbishment). These will be increased to 8 in 2017.
Half of these campuses will be devoted to teaching trades to women. By 2025, the goal is to train and certify 300,000 young men and women into bread earners for their families.
THAT MEANS OVER 2 MILLION OF THEIR DEPENDENTS WILL BE LIFTED OUT OF POVERTY AND WILL BE SUPPORTED BY HUNAR GRADUATES FOR THEIR HEALTH AND EDUCATION NEEDS.
The real aim is to act as a catalyst to promote vocational training in Pakistan, raise the bar of technical training in Pakistan with international qualifications and make our graduates employable in Pakistan and abroad.
We continuously enhance technical skills of our instructors by sending selected instructors to Australia, Germany and the US, besides inviting instructors and advisors from Germany and Australia for month-long sessions in Pakistan.
